RoHS is a compulsory standards set by the eu legislation, it is the full name of "about limit use of certain harmful components in electrical and electronic equipment directive(Restriction of Hazardous Substances).This standard has been started on July 1, 2006 formally implemented, it is mainly used for electrical product specification material and craft standard, make it more conducive to human health and environmental protection.The purpose of this standard is to eliminate electrical electronic products in the lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PCBS) and polybrominated diphenyl ether, a total of 6 substances, and the key specifies the amount of lead that the should not exceed 0.1%.The new directive 2011/65 / EU RoHS(2.0) to replace the new directive 2002/95 / EC (RoHS) will take effect on July 21, 2011.Comparison between RoHS2.0 and RoHS, the main changes are as follows:
1.The original of the WEEE directive annex I and IA new for RoHS two appendices.
2. Since January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2017, medical equipment and monitoring equipment will be included in the scope of RoHS regulation.
3. The manufacturer should be listed on the product before make the EC conformity declaration and labeled with CE mark, and after the electronic electrical products listed, all technical documents must be retained and the declaration of EC conformity at least ten years.
4. If the material (s) listed in annex III (e.g., HBCDD, DEHP, DBP and BBP) by using the can't afford to harm to human health or the environment, will be based on the provisions of article 72 through 69 of the REACH regulation assessed, further the matter listed in annex IV of the restricted substances.
